Bio-Feed Ltd., a start-up company founded in December 1995, has developed a biological technology, the Bio-conversion, which enables the transformation of ever growing vegetbale and organic residues with low nutrition value, into high energy and easily digestible feed for livestock.
Modern animal feeding is a complex task involving many elements and parameters to produce a feed ration fulfilling the animals energy needs and livestock requirements, and reach the farmer’s business target: supply milk and /or meat at the lowest cost possible.
Expected growing demand for milk and meat, especially in developing economies, as a main source of protein for humans, combined with high prices of grain and other commodities, lead livestock farmers to seek new sources of nutritional and cheap feed-stuffs.
This constant search for new feed-stuffs, combined with the need to cleanse the environment from overflowing vegetal residues (e.g. one ton of straw by-product is “produced” for each ton of harvested wheat grain) represent the business opportunity for Bio-Feed Ltd..
