A novel transducer and the associated data processor for automatic measurement and control of angular coordinates are being developed. The system will allow: high accuracy (1 arc-sec), short overall measurement cycle (10-15 min instead of 8-10 hours), automatic correction of the angle while indexing rotary tables, low cost. The core technology resides in a sophisticated electro-optical phase encoder developed by the scientist.
A Sophisticate measuring and control system of the above is under development.
The systems are intended for applications, among others, in production, calibration and maintenance of industrial rotary indexing tables and teodolites. It can be adapted for linear motion measurements as well.
